Grounded in clinical excellence and situated in one of Colorado’s most desirable recovery communities, NorthStar Transitions provides high-caliber, individualized substance abuse treatment for young adults. Our unique intensive outpatient program (IOP) is flexibly designed to accommodate clients’ school and employment schedules while providing the accountability, mentoring and support they need during this critical recovery time.

Boulder Young Adult IOP Benefits

At the helm of our Joint Commission-accredited program is an experienced team of credentialed therapists, counselors and medical staff. While attending NorthStar’s well-regarded IOP, participants have the option to live at home or reside in sober living. Treatment plans are tailored to clients’ needs based on medical history, lifestyle preferences, and co-occurring behavioral issues.

Our young adult IOP schedule

  • 9 hours of weekly group therapy
  • 1 hour of weekly individual therapy
  • 1 hour of bi-weekly family therapy
  • Routine drug testing & accountability measures
  • Medication coordination for co-occurring conditions
  • Access to a board-certified addiction psychiatrist

The NorthStar Difference

NorthStar Transitions believes healing occurs within and beyond the walls of our treatment center. To supplement our evidence based modalities, clients take part in experiential therapy and somatic interventions to equip them with tools to navigate real life recovery. We encourage clients to join outside recovery groups, and groups facilitating hobbies such as skiing, snowboarding, yoga, CrossFit and hiking, to provide social support in their new sober lifestyle.
