Lead Residential Counselor for Women's Residential Program

We have two residential facilities; one for female-identifying clients only, and one for male-identifying clients only. We encourage candidates of all genders to apply. This is a great entry-level position for those who have an interest in working with clients with substance use disorders, especially candidates who are pursuing or are interested in pursuing their Certified Addictions Counselor in Colorado.

Clinical Therapists for Residential Program and Intensive Outpatient Program

Boulder, CO

NorthStar Transitions is hiring motivated, passionate individuals. We are seeking on-call clinical therapists for our male and female residential facilities as well as for our intensive outpatient program.

Master’s Level Internship Position

(Applications only accepted from Jan 2021 – April 2021*)

One-year internship commitment

  • From June 2021 – May 2022
  • Roughly 20 hours/week
  • All hours to be completed in person
  • *Unpaid
  • *Many interns are offered employment upon completion of the internship program.

Site Mission / Population

NorthStar Transitions is an adult dual-diagnosis extended care substance abuse treatment program offering sub-acute detox, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care.

NorthStar Transitions empowers clients with the skills to navigate challenges in addiction recovery and offers opportunities to practice these skills in a therapeutic setting. Through experiential and evidence-based modalities, NorthStar Transitions facilitates highly individualized client-centered care.

  • Supervisors: MA (Masters in Counseling), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor)
